Marketing and Sales Support Supervisor

Position: Marketing and Sales Support Supervisor

Job Description:

The Forward Air Marketing Department is seeking an individual with Sales/Marketing experience to support the Marketing team, Sales representatives, and various divisions within the company with solid materials that fall in-line with departmental plans, service expectations, and financial objectives. This position plays a critical role in providing market awareness, competitive analysis and strategic insight to the sales and executive leadership of the organization. This entails using a disciplined approach to evaluating opportunities to enhance our internal and external marketing initiatives. The Marketing and Sales Support Supervisor will also play a critical role in creating and executing project plans and must be adept at working collaboratively with other departments and business units. This supervisor must be in tune with the organization’s revenue and overall strategic goals and incorporate those goals into his/her marketing output. This candidate will produce communications that are aligned with company strategy and able to provide impactful messaging and visualization. This position also must be able to handle ad-hoc requests as well as maintain routine tasks.

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Provide tactical support for the development of the annual marketing and sales support plans. Participate in the on-going execution and adoption of all brand and core ideology programing 
  • Develop and manage coordinated internal and external communications vehicles across Forward Air Corp., including Forward Air Corp. & Forward Air Inc. web properties, internal communications and social media channels. Support as required to all of Forward Air’s operating companies
  • Provide tactical support in the development of specific customer and partnership programs for the Sales organization
  • Support the development of market research, competitor analysis, customer service retention and growth initiatives
  • Participate in the development and execution of all sales & marketing collateral materials
  • Provide tactical support for industry trade shows, company meetings and customer event programming
  • Assist the Sales & Operation organizations in the preparation, analysis and presentation development of data and information in support of QBR and similar activities
  • Support Corporate Sales and Operations organization in the development of employee training programs
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  •  Degree in Business or business, marketing or related degree
  •  Experience with relevant software applications
  •  Statistical knowledge for analyzing data and problem-solving
  •  Must have an understanding of balance sheets, income statements and cash flows
  •  Ability to establish quality relations with all levels of personnel
  •  Must be able to work individually/collaboratively and handle self-driven projects efficiently
  •  Excellent interpersonal skills, exuding professionalism and courteousness
  •  Breakdown, sorting, and packaging of promo items to distribute to field
  •  Have a Driver’s License and credit card for travel purposes and expenses (Travel expenses are 100% reimbursed per company policy)
  • Effective in project planning, time management, organization and prioritization
  • Must be able to lift tradeshow materials, cases and booths 
  • Must be willing to travel up to 15% of the time
